Russian Guests spend twice as much as Europeans when visiting Disneyland Paris.

During a vacation to Disneyland Paris Russian visitors spend on average twice as much as European Guests, choosing the more expensive hotel rooms and preferring gourmet meals according to data compiled by Disneyland Paris. They also order more additional services and entertainment.

“The average bill of a Russian Guest in Disneyland Paris per day is about €700, while Europeans spend €300” – commented Victoria Yakushev Head of Regional Sales and Marketing at Disneyland Paris.

The demand by Russians for tours to Disneyland Paris, according to the tour operator BSI Group, in the first half of 2016 grew by 30% compared to the same period last year.

However, after the tragic events in Nice in July of this year the demand fell by 10%. Approximately half of all Russian tourists who go on a vacation to Disneyland Paris, combine a visit to the park with a visit to Paris and a vacation on the French Riviera.

“The biggest demand for a trip to Disneyland Paris is in the summer, and during the spring and autumn school holidays” said Natalia Brody the head of the French and Swiss tour operator BSI group. “Least visitors attend the park in January and February, and from October to mid-December. While visiting the park at this time has a number of advantages. First, in the low season are the most advantageous offers, for example, ‘two nights, two days free offer’. Second, the queue time for rides is much shorter. And since most of the attractions are indoors. Russian visitors are not afraid of the cold weather”.

The average duration of trip to Disneyland Paris in 2016 for Russians was three – four days, and they booked their trip in six months in advance on average. The average cost of a three day tour of Disneyland Paris, according to the BSI group tour operator, was €1,092. Last year it was €985. The price of the tour includes accommodation, breakfast, tickets to the park and medical insurance.

Disneyland Paris representative Victoria Yakushev said that the Paris theme park is constantly being updated and commented that in 2017, Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will offer a lot of surprises and events. For example, in January 2017 a new gourmet restaurant at The Founders Club in the five star Disneyland Hotel will open.
